The Road To AMAA Leads To Enugu, South-east Nigeria!
By Chioma Okwu

It's amazing to note with all excitement and glee that the south-east is finally getting profitable recognition. It's a rather massive deal that the events marking the 15th edition of The AMA Awards will be kicking off in ENUGU; not Lagos, not Abuja and definitely not Portharcourt. If you've not thought of it as a crown upon the fine head of Enugu state, you should at least think of it as an opportunity for young and undiscovered talents to explore and exploit the world of entertainment.

AMAA which was held in Kigali, Rwanda in 2018 graces the opportunity thirsty streets of Enugu and it's all we can talk about.

The Africa Movie Academy Awards(AMAA) are presented annually to recognize renowned excellence among professionals working in, or non-African professionals who have contributed to, the African film industry.

AMAA is the leading, most glamorous awards event that recognizes and rewards excellence in creativity on the continent of Africa. For many years, under the direction of its founder, astute filmmaker and veteran, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the AMA Awards that endlessly seeks to acknowledge the efforts of filmmakers, actors, directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, and everyone else involved in the process of filmmaking all over the continent of Africa has gone from an idea to the most coveted accolade amongst filmmakers and enthusiasts in the African film and movie community.

The best part!

Events marking the 15th edition of AMA Awards is kicking off with a Gala event in Enugu, where African superstars in Nollywood who hail from the East will be celebrated. It's undoubtedly going to be an evening of high style, glitz, and fellowship, as the red carpet will be glamorously rolled out to welcome the hottest industry players, A-list celebrities, and Eastern and Southern community leaders to an elegant dinner and awards ceremony which raises more than funding for the Africa film Academy every year.

It doesn't just end there!

Training workshop that teaches great acting, writing, directing, producing, skills from experienced and seasoned teachers will begin on May 23. Sits are limited and attendance is strictly on payment basis. If you intend to tap into the African movie academy and its overwhelming vices, register now.
